INT. CASTLE DRACULA - GUEST ROOM - DAWN

Grey light. A small shaving mirror hangs from the window latch. JONATHAN HARKER (20s) lathers his jaw and lifts the razor.

A hand settles on his shoulder.

THE COUNT (O.S.)

Good morning.

Harker starts. The razor nicks his chin. He looks into the glass for the man behind him.

The bed. The door. The whole room over his shoulder. And no one standing behind him.

He turns. THE COUNT (70s), tall, white-moustached, stands close enough to touch. His eyes go to the bead of blood on Harker’s chin.

THE COUNT

Take care how you cut yourself. It is more dangerous than you think in this country.

He lifts the mirror from the latch and drops it out of the window. A long moment later, it breaks on the stones below.

Scene plan Before a word is written, the scene’s purpose is agreed. By you.

That he is a prisoner, and that saying so makes it true.

Step inside the Studio

Watch a story take shape in the desktop Studio. A look at the work in progress, while we prepare for release.

Nothing is rewritten without you.

Ideas arrive as possibilities, from you or from your collaborators. When you choose one, the Studio shows everything it touches, and why. Your pages change only when you say so.

No one is behind him in the glass.

What does Jonathan do?

What it touches

Choose one. Until you do, all three stay possibilities, and nothing else in the story moves.

Every screenplay begins with a title page.

Put your name on yours. The Count crumbles to dust at sunset. Your story doesn’t.

Made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

The Studio, where you’ll write it, is coming soon.
