Well, no wonder you were angry. I'd

be angry too.

MASON

I look like a martian now.

MOM

Honey, you know what? I'm gonna

talk to him about it later, okay?

MASON

Yeah, I tried to call you but you

didn't answer your phone.

MOM

I'm so sorry. I've been so busy

with school... Hey.

She touches his hair, lovingly.

MOM (CONT'D)

For what it's worth, it's hair and

it will grow back. Now I can see

your pretty eyes and your foxy face.

MASON

Why'd you even marry him? He's such

a jerk.

MOM

Well, Bill has his good qualities.

You know, nobody's perfect. And now

we have a family.

MASON

We already had a family.

With this, Mason turns and exits the car.
