INT. THRONE ROOM - THE EMERALD CITY - DAY

A high domed room, empty. Green light on every surface, green glass buckled over every eye. DOROTHY (10) stands at the front, Toto at her heels. Behind her wait the SCARECROW, the TIN WOODMAN and the LION.

THE VOICE

I am Oz, the Great and Terrible. Why do you seek me?

DOROTHY

The Witch is melted. You promised.

The Lion roars to frighten the voice. Toto jumps away in alarm, straight into a folding screen in the corner.

It topples. Behind it stands a little old man, bald and wrinkled, as startled as they are.

The Tin Woodman raises his axe.

THE LITTLE OLD MAN

Don’t strike me. Please. I’ll do anything you want.

Scene plan Before a word is written, the scene’s purpose is agreed. By you.

Step inside the Studio

Watch a story take shape in the desktop Studio. A look at the work in progress, while we prepare for release.

Nothing is rewritten without you.

Ideas arrive as possibilities, from you or from your collaborators. When you choose one, the Studio shows everything it touches, and why. Your pages change only when you say so.

Everyone in the city wears green spectacles.

What do they hide?

What it touches

Choose one. Until you do, all three stay possibilities, and nothing else in the story moves.

Every screenplay begins with a title page.

Put your name on yours. The silver shoes fall off in the desert. Your story doesn’t.

Made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

The Studio, where you’ll write it, is coming soon.
